Formula 1: Drive to survive


It is the documentary series by Netflix and in collaboration with Formula One by production company “Box to Box Films”. This series shows us the scenarios and scenes happening inside the team and drivers on track and off track.


It is the most loved dramatic series by sports fans waiting to witness the team and drivers battles of 2021.

In Mar 8th 2019, first series premiered in Netflix by covering the 2018 World Championship and the second season was released on 28th February 2020 documenting 2019 World Championship.

Third season is planning to release worldwide in Netflix on 19th Mar,2021. Filming was suspended until July 2020 due to COVID-19 Pendamic.


Season 1: 2018 World Championship

Episode 1 – All to play for

Driver Daniel Ricciardo looks to make a statement on the track while the teams prepare for the first race of the season at the Australian Grand Prix.

Episode 2 – King of Spain

Team McLaren aims to turn things around as its driver Fernando Alonso faces Renault's Carlos Sainz Jr. at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

Episode 3 – Redemption

At the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, Ricciardo feels pressure by an upstate. Also, the men and women of Williams Racing fight to remain relevant.

Episode 4 – Art of War

The troubled offtrack relationship between Red Bull and Renault hits a new low. Meanwhile, a top Formula 1 driver makes a shocking move.

Episode 5 – Trouble at the Top

A team's financial backing doesn't always translate into victories. See: McLaren. Also, the principal and co-owner of Force India faces legal issues.

Episode 6 – All or Nothing

When Force India is bought by a group led by Lawrence Stroll, the team's two drivers worry Stroll's son, Lance, may take one of their spots.

Episode 7 – Keeping Your Head

Perhaps trying too hard, Haas F1 Team driver Romain Grosjean struggles with confidence and nerves at the famed French Grand Prix.

Season 2: 2019 World Championship

Another formula 1 season Kicks off at the Australian Grand Prix as 10 racing teams via for the podium.

Episode 2 – Boiling Point

As mediocrity becomes the norm for Team Haas, frustration over the poor performances threaten to tear the group apart from within.

Episode 3 – Dogfight

Eager to return their teams to glory, Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo and McLaren’s Carlos Sainz Jr. vow to prove themselves on the track.

Episode 4 – Dark Days

Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes team - long dominant in Formula 1 - face a true test of mettle on a rain-soaked track at the German Grand Prix.
