Ferrari team launch

As we all heard about the season 2020 was worst for many teams and many aspects. But it is quite extra struggle for Ferrari SF1000.

They finished in 6th in the championship standings in 2020 and faced power unit issues with FIA regulations.

What exactly happens for SF1000?

All the issue starts with Nose of the car.

Mercedes’ thin nose design have pros involving weight, aerodynamics and packaging.

The nose’s elevation related to the normal – straight line created al low air pressure causing the airflow to accelerate and sides works like a ground effect. To get the greater downforce, airflow must be faster.

The downforce you can create is generally a multiplication of the cars surface area and the speed of the air on it.

If the nose is wider which means it has greater surface area for air flow acceleration.

Narrow nose is better controllable aerodynamics at low speed and therefore more consistent slow corner grip. When you compare surface area with airflow speed, the narrow nose offers less surface area.

Ferrari have a less difficult suspension as they don't need to pack as much in a more modest space, so there's a preferred position for them.

Yet, having said that their Car since the time 2017 have fundamentally been an advancement of that year's plan, while Mercedes and Red Bull have had greater transformations.

Discussion on power unit is also the blameable for Ferrari.

Ferrari already faced these kinds of problems before and they energised with full power after transformation. I personally hope Ferrari will definitely win many races in 2021 if they fulfilled the car as very competitive manner.

To all the Tifosi, right here. – “will come and show the real power of the modern era”.

As we connect here for Feb-26th team launch by Ferrai followed by March 10 car livery launch, we have to wait for next update.

Today

In the team launch, they have introduced the new driver Carlos Sainz and Star driver Carles Leclerc .

Team Principal - Mattia Binotto

“Certainly last year was a big, big disappointment. We know that we cannot repeat such a bad result; we know that we need somehow to do better in 2021.

“2020 disappointments cannot be repeated”

“The car has been improved in all areas where developments are permitted,” he said.

“We must work in a determined and focused way, aware of where we were and where we want to go.”

He also clears "So I think it's really a matter of mentality: team mentality, drivers' mentality, and as Team Principal, no doubt I'm fully aware of the responsibility I've got, being part of such a team. I feel… not pressure, but I feel the responsibility, as well the pride, and I know that, as I said, initially we simply need to do better, and that's part of my first responsibility.”

2021’s car will be launched on March 10 with all new power unit also for Alfa Romeo and Haas cars.

He also added, “What I think will is our will to win,I'm not saying that we will win – I think that we need to be realistic. There are cars that have been very, very strong last year, and with the car being partially frozen, they will be certainly very strong again in 2021 “

Carslos Sainz notified as “As a racing driver, it’s a great honour and a big responsibility, that I really look forward to experiencing and embracing,”

Since the very first day I started racing, I only had two targets in mind: to become a Formula 1 Grand Prix driver and to win the World Championship. “After achieving the first one, all my focus and efforts are invested in trying to achieve the second target – and there is no better place than Ferrari to go for it.”

He also added

“Every single team goes through difficult moments at some point, it’s part of Formula 1,” What really matters is the ability to bounce back. History shows that teams that won in the past are capable of being competitive once again. Ferrari is the most successful team in the history of our sport and there is a reason behind that. If there is a team on the grid that can fight back to the top, it is Ferrari.

“I have full confidence in the project and, even though the process might take some time, I’m sure the team will eventually return to its winning ways. What you can be sure of is that I will give my absolute best to help shorten that process as much as possible.”
